DESCRIPTION:Meet Salt: A life size\, 43-foot long inflatable humpback whale\, courtesy of the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary. \nIn conjunction with the Heritage Days Open House on August 3\, Stellwagen volunteers will walk you through Salt and offer information on whale biology and behavior. Other museum exhibits\, photo spot and interactive displays are available that day. \nAn airlock provides a safe way for participants in wheelchairs or who need assistance to enter Salt. \nFree Parking onsite and at the MBTA Driftway lot.

DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\nRoot Beer Floats served from 1:00 – 5:00 pm\n\n\n\n\nLawson Tower Bell Concert at 4 pm\n\n\n\nA great chance to visit the historic FPUU Church\, and enjoy a root beer float on the lawn during the Lawson Bell concert! \nOur “heritage” in brief: Ours is the oldest parish in Scituate\, dating back to the Nonconformist “Men of Kent” and their families who covenanted here in 1634 with the Rev. John Lothrop\, upon his exile from England for advocating freedom of conscience and the separation of church and state. These “pillars” of the church are the familiar names Hatherly\, Cudworth\, Gilson\, Turner\, Cobb\, and Foster. \nBuilt on the ancestral land of the Massachusett and Wampanoag\, our church began with a small log cabin on Meeting House Lane. The fifth meeting house (the Old Sloop) was built in 1774 on the present site; it burned down in 1879 and was rebuilt into today’s church.
