DESCRIPTION:Mat Brown will attempt\, in less than 2 hours\, to outline the entire history of that area of the world now called “Scituate\, Massachusetts”\, from the last great ice age to the present\, with a visual presentation of over 100 slides.\nThis is the first time this feat has ever been attempted\, and may never again be repeated! \nBorn in Situate in 1936\, and having family roots in Situate that date back for over 250 years\, it is apparent that Mat knows\nquite a bit about Situate. For over 20 years Mat taught Junior High and High School Mathematics in Plymouth\, Marshfield\nand Scituate. He left teaching and joined Building #19 where he created prize-winning advertising. After Building #19\nclosed\, Mat did work for Ollie’s Bargain Outlet (a chain of stores similar to Building #19 with 250 stores). Since 2014\, Mat\nhas been an Editorial Cartoonist for Gatehouse Media. the Scituate Mariner and the Cohasset Mariner \nTickets are $10 each and are available\nat the School House\non Cudworth Road or at the door.\nThey may also be purchased  online at scitautehistoricalsociety.org
