DESCRIPTION:Generations of Irish in Boston have contributed to the fabric of the city’s life in business\, government\, and the church.  Anthony Sammarco will present an illustrated lecture on “The Boston Irish.” He will explore the 19th and 20th century people and institutions that were founded by and for the Irish immigrants and their descendants.\nThe afternoon will start with music by Declan Houton of Devri.\nTickets for this event are:\n$10.00 per person for Society members\n$15.00 per person for non-members\nReservations are recommended (see below). SUMMARY:Teen Taste Test: Going Green!
DESCRIPTION:For Students in Grades 5-12: \nCelebrate the season with a fun (and slightly weird!) taste-testing challenge just for teens. We’ll sample a variety of green-themed snacks—from delicious to daring—and vote on our favorites. Think pickle chips\, minty treats\, mystery flavors\, and more! Try new foods\, compare reactions with friends\, and help crown the “Best in Green.” All food will be provided.
