SUMMARY:Scituate Arts Association Celebrates  “Arts Alive! Weekend” June 11th & 12th Call for Artists of all Ages!
DESCRIPTION:Save the weekend of June 11th & 12th to celebrate “Arts Alive” with the Scituate Arts Association!  This is the 16th year that the SAA\, a Scituate based nonprofit arts association which supports the Front Street Gallery\, the Ellis House Studio and provides art classes\, workshops and educational opportunities for the community at large\, has offered this event. Activities include Plein Air [Open Air] painting around Scituate Harbor\, a Wet Paint Show\, and this year\, we will be offering a plein air pop up tent with kits for children and their families to use and enjoy throughout the summer.  All artists\, amateur and professional\, youth to seniors\, are invited to participate!\nFor Children and Families:  The SAA will be offering a selection of art kits for both elementary and middle school for a modest donation ($5). We will be setting up our tent at the Harbor Community Building Parking lot on Sunday June 12th from Noon to 3. \nFor all Plein air painters/artists:  Please sign up in advance by using the PayPal button at the Gallery website:  www.frontstreetartgallery.com or day of the event\, register at Front Street Art Gallery.  (You must sign in at some point on Saturday to participate in our Wet Paint Show.) Your $10 registration fee helps cover the expenses of the event\, etc.  Plan to share your works with the public at a Wet Paint Show to be held at the Gallery where your works will continue on display through Sunday\, July 3rd.    Art completed “en Plein aire” should be delivered to the Front Street Art Gallery on Saturday\, June 11th by 4:30 or between Noon-12:30 on Sunday\, June 12th. \nFor all art lovers:  Please come by the Front Street Gallery for further information during the Arts Alive! Weekend.  Plein Air painting is planned for Saturday\, June 11th from 10-4 with a rain date on Sunday\, June 12th from 10-Noon. (Gallery hours are Noon-5) The public is invited to take part in “The People’s Choice Awards” at the Front Street Art Gallery.  Please come in and vote for your favorite before Sunday July 3rd.  Announcement to follow that week\n  \n
