DESCRIPTION:The Friends of the Scituate Town Library invite you to a half-price sale of gently-used nonfiction in the bookstore located on the lower level of the library at 85 Branch St. The sale\, which started April 5\, will continue April  8\, 10\, 12\, 13.  Hardcovers will be $2\, paperbacks 50 cents. The bookstore is open from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Mondays\, Wednesdays\, Fridays\, and Saturdays.  The nonfiction collection is extensive\, including history\, biography\, sports\, cookbooks\, gardening\, art\, travel\, and much more.  The bookstore also has a great collection of fiction\, children’s and young adult books\, CDs\, DVDs\, and vintage books at regular prices\, most ranging from 50 cents to $2.  Proceeds provide funding for library programs\, museum passes\, and special events.

DESCRIPTION:Registered voters in the Town of Scituate have the final vote on any articles put forth at Town Meeting. As the “legislative branch” of local government\, proposals cannot move forward without your ok.  The Annual Town meeting will determine the operating and capital budgets for FY25\, funding for CPC recommended projects\, changes to zoning and town bylaws and many other important considerations on the warrant (found on the Town website at www.scituatema.gov). All you need to do to participate is to show up at the Scituate High School gym at 7pm\, sign-in and take a seat. The Town Moderator will oversee the meeting and tell you how the evening will proceed\, how you can comment (if you want to)\, and how to vote.  There are over 14\,000 registered voters. Please take one evening to do your part to oversee how the Town operates!  Any questions\, call the Select Board office or Town Clerk.

Helmets and registration are required.
