SUMMARY:Santa Catarina de Alexandria Feast
DESCRIPTION:Join Scituate’s Santa Catarina do Fogo/Cape Verde Sister City Committee to celebrate the annual Cape Verdean Community celebration. Saint Catherine of Alexandria is the patron saint of Cape Verde. All are welcome to this festive occasion where we will honor the Cape Verdean community celebrating Santa Catarina Day (officially on 11/25). This celebration began locally in 1991 and is held annually.  To be held at St. Mary’s of the Nativity Parish Center\, the event will feature a presentation of the importance of this celebration and the connections to Scituate. Whether you’re a member of the Cape Verdean community or simply interested in learning more about the culture\, this event is a great opportunity to celebrate with your neighbors!
