Sally Snowman, Ph.D., is the 70th Keeper of the US Coast Guard Light Station Boston (aka Boston Light) and the first female appointed over its 307 years of history. She traded her career from academia to keeper in 2003.  After 20 years of service, she will be retiring at the end of the year with the USCG eliminating the position.
