The Scituate Beach Association’s annual Labor Day parade is an end-of-summer bash that usually attracts hundreds of people. The parade’s origins are a bit fuzzy, but old-timers say it started shortly after World War I as the Horribles parade to mark the end of summer. It’s held every year on the Sunday of Labor Day Weekend.
Awards are presented for best costumes, best decorated homes along the route and best floats. New this year (2022) we’ll have a kids flotilla with special awards just for the participants.
