The Scituate Veterans Advisory Council has announced the following events for Veterans Day, Friday, November 11, 2022.

American Legion Post 144 Flag Ceremony
11:00 am at the Scituate Senior Center

American Legion Post 144 Luncheon
The post will be hosting a Veterans Luncheon at 12:00 pm at the Senior Center, following the flag ceremony. NO RESERVATION REQUIRED. Music by Soldiers, Songs and Voices | The WSU Bluegrass Band

After the luncheon, the Scituate Food Pantry will be hosting their “Salute to Service” for veterans on the Senior Center patio from 1:00 pm-2:30 pm. Dessert, gifts and music will be provided for veterans by the Scituate Food Pantry.

During this time, there will also be a “Sea of Support”, a field of flags to honor all known living Scituate veterans, which will be on display at Scituate Community Christmas, 125 Mann Lot Road, from November 10-13.

In addition to Veterans Day activities, the VA Van will be at the Senior Center all day beginning at 9am on November 9th to help people sign up for benefits, ask questions and get any assistance they may need. Coffee and donuts will be available.
