Zangar Freeman is a first‑generation Liberian‑American jewelry artist, educator, veteran, and mental health clinician who blends cultural storytelling with expressive arts practices. With a background in social work, he has taught beadwork to people of all ages in youth programs, community centers, senior centers, and schools. His workshops create welcoming third spaces where participants can connect, reflect, and express themselves through art.

Bead Therapy is an expressive arts workshop that teaches participants the basics of beaded jewelry making and the difference between semi-precious stones and precious stones. The materials used are semi-precious stones and other natural jewelry materials. Semi-precious stones have been appreciated for generations for their unique beauty and healing and grounding properties.

Registration is required and limited to Adults ages 18+. Thank you to the Friends of The Scituate Public Library for Funding this program.
