The Scituate Garden Club will sponsor a talk open to the public on “Scituate Tales and Trails” at the Scituate Senior Center. Learn about how the trails were constructed, the flora and fauna which thrive in the woods, and hear some tales about the families who sold their lands to the Town. Have you ever walked the Town hiking trailsvand wanted to know more about their background, or rather, are you someone who hasn’t, and wondered where they are located? Did you know that there are seven conservation areas with trails around our Town that are free for all to use? The trails are well marked and carefully maintained by an all-volunteer trail maintenance team. They are designed for all levels of abilities. These conservation areas are safe and great for introducing children to the outdoors. The development of the trail systems has been a relatively recent addition to our Town’s wonderful resources with the trails created, some new parking lots installed and the signs and kiosk maps finalized.
