The Scituate Sister City Project, Bridgewater State University, Cape Cod Cape Verdean Museum and Cultural Center, Scituate Historical Society, and the Scituate Education Foundation wish to invite you to the celebration of the Legacy of  AMÍLCAR LOPES CABRAL.

For some of the younger folks, AMÍLCAR LOPES CABRAL was a pivotal figure in the fight for the independence of African countries, particularly in Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde. His leadership, ideology, and revolutionary strategies played a significant role in the broader struggle against colonial rule throughout Africa.  Cabral was acutely aware of the economic disparities imposed by colonial rule.
