Scituate for Movie Lovers

It’s amazing how many movie and television scouts have found this beautiful corner of the world! It’s no wonder with the natural beauty and proximity to production facilities in Quincy and Boston.  The Town has rolled out the red carpet (!) for many notable films. Most recently, the Academy Award winning film American Fiction featured scenes in the Sand Hills neighborhood. Not only is this an amazing film, but producer Ben LeClair and actor Bates Wilder are both Scituate natives.  Another recent release was The Finestkind, starring Tommy Lee Jones, was filmed around Scituate, including a beautiful home on First Cliff.

After you tool around town looking for your favorite movie locales (Massachusetts Movie Locations), grab some popcorn and a drink at Scituate’s own Reel Harbor Theater to enjoy a small town cinema with big screen appeal.  Located right in Scituate Harbor, the Reel is a local institution that makes every visitor feel like a star!
