Our “Not So Old Man” has spent a lifetime on these waters and is the beloved host to our seaborne visitors. Fran McMillen combines Yankee ingenuity, with the Scottish Hebrides islanders’ love of the sea. With his intense work ethic, Fran is everywhere, not just supervising his launch business, but meeting and greeting visitors, assisting fellow harbor business people, working with neighboring towns and Plymouth County advocates, and being one of Scituate’s biggest fans. All of this plus Fran’s droll humor and sincere persona make him one of Scituate’s Great Locals.
